The Future awaits Sierra Leonean Youths

Taf Salone Micro City at John Obey, phase one (1) breaks ground on October 15th, 2023 with 300 houses to be built in the first three years of building 5000 homes in Sierra Leone.

What does that mean?

  • Better job opportunities.
  • Income for young families.
  • Development of other services that boost the local economy value chain of service.

The population of Sierra Leone is about 8,791,092 with a working population of about 3.50m (statista.com).

With two universities and three technical skills Schools in the western area of the Peninsula in Freetown.

With an average output of 3,000 or lower civil engineering students a year.

The construction industry in the western area couldn’t be more promising for job opportunities with a big developer like TAF Global.

What employment opportunities await this number?

From the world industry index of manpower for constructing a house. Is 25-50 skilled engineers

TAF has the potential to create an average of 12,000 jobs in three years.

This past week TAF Global put out their hiring flyers.

I was beyond thrilled by the range of job openings and opportunities for young Sierra Leoneans with a huge continental construction brand.

Imagine the quality of work experience and a great career path in construction for any candidate who will get to work with TAF Salone.

With the Taf Salone project, graduates from technical schools in Sierra Leone have chances of honing their skills and getting employed at the same time.

Final thoughts

Sierra Leone is under development and I applaud Uncle TAF for believing in young Africans and bringing this much-needed project to Sierra Leone.

Past and present students of technical schools have something to look forward to in the construction industry and I’m extremely delighted with the possibilities in the future that awaits Sierra Leonean Youths.

What are your thoughts about the TAF Salone project and the opportunities it presents to the youths in our country?
